In Review: Missions and Outreaches, 2024
It’s incredible what God can do with a willing heart. He takes the little in our hands and changes lives with it. In 2024, “After God Heart” supported organizations like “Filter of Hope,” “Widows Mite,” “Voice of the Martyrs,” “Global Service Network,” and other reputable Kingdom-impacting organizations worldwide. We contributed to these organizations because they are directly on the mission field, reaching the lost for Christ and reaching people at the time of their needs.
In addition to the gospel mission contributions, After God Heart granted N40,000 each to ten students in Nigeria to help remove the financial stress of paying the West African Examination (WAEC) fees. Furthermore, with our commitment to economic empowerment, we helped to fund multiple African businesses to give people the dignity of labor and hope through wealth creation. This is core to the mission of “After God's Heart” because hunger reduces productivity, and society is wealthy and productive through innovation.
Various business grants were given to individuals to establish or stimulate their businesses. As part of the first grant of N2.3 Million awarded to AMACOS 94/99 set, seven businesses received N200,000 each to help bolster their enterprises' profitability. This award also included N500,000 for the organization’s microfinance initiative.
The AMACOS 94/99 set's commitment to transforming the lives of the people in their community, their transparency and integrity, and their willingness to contribute financially and intellectually encouraged our collaboration with them for their “End of Year, Happiness Sharing” initiative. They have single-handedly executed this among their community before 2024, and with AGH’s support, they were able to extend their reach to Moshood Abiola Polytechnic cleaners and custodians, and people in the Agbadu Village in Abeokuta. We supported the distribution of foodstuffs worth N40,000 each with cash awards of N10,000 to each of the forty families during the Christmas season. The distribution was done across multiple states and with a sense of dignity for the recipients.
“After God’s Heart’s” efforts rest on the premise that we honor God through our lives and that God loves people and wants them to have dignity and hope. With this year over, “After God's Heart” is excited about 2025 in anticipation of all that God is set to do through the little drops we are willing to release into the world’s bucket of needs. We might not see a clear picture of the future, but we are grateful for the privilege of partnering with Jesus to put smiles on people’s faces and give them hope in this life and for eternity.
